Dwyane Wade Will Miss London Olympics

After all of the hype following the 20th anniversary of the Dream Team and their documentary, America has been dying to know who this years team will consist of. Count Dwyane Wade out. Wade will not be participating on this summers Olympic team in London. He is getting surgery on his left knee which was causing him so many problems in this years playoffs. This is both satisfying and scary for Miami fans. It feels good to know Wade wasn't playing so terrible in the playoffs due to effort, but it is never good to see one of your star players sitting out with a knee surgery (Right Chicago).

Wade was at an all-time low this past playoffs and even had a game where he only cored 5 points. Luckily Lebron James carried the Miami Heat to the championship and all was forgiven. They say winning heals all, lets hope it heals Wades knee. I am saddened to see Dwyane not play this summer but really the United States team doesn't really need him. The league is stacked with young explosive guards, but the Miami Heat are not.

Dwyane Wade should be ready for next year, and sitting out this olympics is going to be good for his career and Miami's 2013 tittle defense. One thing for sure is that the Heat can't afford for Wade to play like he did this past year. This break should get him back to his normal playing level. Those that have been pouring it on him saying he has lost a step will definitely eat those words next year. With a healthy  Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and a guy named Lebron, I think saying the Miami Heat are favorites for next year is an understatement. We will see how this plays out for Wade, but we will not be seeing Wade this summer in London.

Rockets Making Moves for Dwight Howard

Rockets fans say your good-byes to your beloved team. It looks like this off-season will create a new-look Rockets. For better or worse.

The Houston Rockets have started their plan to blow up the team in efforts to make an attractive deal for soon-to-be free agent, Dwight Howard, of the Orlando Magic. They just sent off Chase Budinger and draft rights to Lior Eliyahu for the 18th overall pick from the Timberwolves. the only thing left to finalize this deal is the league approval. That being said I don't see the league disapproving this one because David Stern couldn't justify messing up this one (like he did to Chris Paul and Pau Gasol last year).

This trade is just the start of what the Rockets plan to do for Howard. They are also eyeing the number 5 pick from the Sacramento Kings, and any other pick that can catch the attention of the Magic. Currently they are sitting on the number 14, 16, and 18 pick (barring league disapproval). With those picks and Kyle Lowry on the market, the Rockets are making it an interesting race to get Howard. If they an package two of their picks with a player and get a top 5 pick, they may have a shot. But to be honest, I do not see the Rockets pulling this one off. The only positive that will come of this will be the fact that the Rockets will break u the team and start over. The core they have now has no chance of competing for a title.

Chris Bosh Loses Even When He Wins

Why does he even try....

Congratulations to  the 2011-2012 Miami Heat, but they need to put this guy in check. This is like strike 34 on Chris Bosh. Your thoughts?

The Coronation of Ring James

There’s a new sheriff in town! Except he’s not a sheriff, he’s King James and he finally earned his nickname. Lebron James capped off his third MVP season the right way this time by leading the Miami Heat to an NBA championship. Through all of the media criticism, injuries, and adversity, James finished off the Thunder in 5 with a triple double. At times in these playoffs Lebron seemed to be unstoppable, which is why I knew this year would finally be his. He took control of the moment and I could see the relief and excitement on his face when he realized they had the victory.

The look on Lebron’s face took me back to the way I saw him playing early on in Cleveland. In Lebron’s early years he played loosely and enjoyed the game of basketball. He would dance and fool around with his teammates, then drop a 30-piece on whoever and go home with a victory. The only problem was he didn’t have the help it took to win a championship. Now James has a team, and now that they have won, expect Lebron and the Heat to start having more fun on the court next year.

I also expect Lebron to take it to another level next year. The Heat have a chance to be on top of the NBA world for the next 3-4 years. Now that Lebron James is closing games, playing loosely, having fun, and surrounded by talent, The Miami Heat will be virtually unbeatable in a 7 game series. Lebron has the monkey off his back and a team on his side. World watch out
As for what is next for the Thunder, I see them on top of the for the most part of the next 5-8 years. If they can keep the players happy, and keep the core together, they should have no problem taking out their western foes. There is no team in the West that can match up with them at this time. What does this mean for Kobe Bryant and the Lakers fans? Sorry, but Kobe Bryant is retiring with 5 rings. Yes, I said it. Kobe Bryant is done. Now it is up to Lebron to try and get 5 or 6 rings to match Kobe and Jordan. Until then his career cannot be compared to their careers.

One thing I will say is that when it comes to talent and skill on the court, Lebron is top 3 all-time. the King has been crowned and we were all witnesses. Also the future is bright for both of these teams, so Thunder fans need not worry.

LaDanian Tomlinson Retiring a Charger at age 32

32 year-old Future Hall-of-fame running back, LaDanian Tomlinson, has made the decision to call it quits from the NFL after 11 excellent seasons.  For the past two seasons he has been chasing a ring in New York with the Jets, but Tomlinson will always be remembered as a San Diego Charger. I remember as a young teenager wanting the powder blue and yellow throwback Tomlinson jersey after seeing him score touchdown after touchdown in it. The endless goal line jumps and breakaway runs electrified our generation and inspired so many young athletes in football.

His most memorable season was 2006 when he broke the record for rushing touchdowns in a season, but every season was a glory to watch. LT will be missed in the game of football, and his decision to sign with the Chargers this off-season before retiring is definitely the way to go. Tomlinson never got his ring, but in 5 years I expect him to be inducted to the Hall-of-fame. He has been the standard for excellence at his position for the past decade. LT you will be missed.

Comment below with some of you favorite LT moments.

Brandon Roy Making a Comeback to the NBA

DONT CALL IT A COMEBACK...actually we're definitely calling it a comeback.

Former All-star guard and rookie of he year, Brandon Roy, reported yesterday via his friend and former teammate, Will Conroy's twitter, that he is planning to make a comeback to the NBA. For those that don't know, Brandon Roy was forced into retirement due to injuries before the start of this lockout season. Now he used the most reliable source ever, Twitter.com, to answer fans questions and let them know he's coming back. Roy touched on some pretty interesting points, and also he initiated rumors all around the league.

First he announced with this tweet that he was coming back:

Then he began to answer certain questions, and also showed love to the fans in Portland:

So due to the rules of when a player retires, and also Brandon Roy's contract when he did so, Brandon Roy cannot join the NBA and be right back on the Blazers roster. Sorry Portland, because you can definitely use him (if healthy). Also though he would love to play in Portland, it may not be the best spot for Roy. Coming off an injury he needs to be in a place where he will not have to carry the majority of the offensive load. A couple of teams I would like to see him join are the Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks, Indiana Pacers, or even the Denver Nuggets. These are a couple teams that could use him, but don't need him. He would get chances to prove himself to a contender, and he won't wear himself out too much.

One place he would love to play is Seattle:
This probably means the Thunder don't have a chance of landing him. I don't think he's too happy about the move. Either way Brandon Roy would be a good pickup for any team that takes the risk. when he was healthy he looked virtually unstoppable at times. It will be great to see which team picks him up. Cue Lakers and Miami Heat rumors. Seems like anytime a free agent is on the market those are the first two team to be rumored to get them. I doubt he goes to either of those teams so don't get your hopes up when the rumors start. No matter the destination I wish Broy good luck, I loved watching him play and I'm sure you did too.

Let me know what team you would like to see Brandon Roy comeback and join in the comments below.
