Conference Finals Predictions

And then there were 4. The conference finals are finally here! Now that the Celtics are done fooling around with the Sixers, and the Thunder and Spurs have gotten their months vacation, we can get into the meat of the 2012 NBA playoffs. I know that I was foolish enough to choose the Sixers over the Celtics, but I didn't count on the impossible happening. Rajon Rondo made jump shots. What's next, Kim Kardashian getting into a real genuine relationship? Please, but since Boston took the series I'll give them their props. They knocked down shots, and they won the game. Now its time for their real challenge, and I think they will need more than a Rondo miracle to win this one. Here is my prediction for the Heat vs. Celtics series.

Miami Heat head to the NBA finals again in 6 games.

The Heat are going to be too much for the Celtics only if a role player like Mike Miller or Mario Chalmers continues to step up like they have been all playoffs. The Heat are still without Bosh and his return is still in question. With that being said, until Bosh returns the Heat will need Lebron and Wade to take over on both sides of the ball, and also get help from a third scorer. If all of this holds true, like I believe it will, Miami will take this series in 6 games. If Bosh's return sounded surer, I would say in 5, but then again I see the Celtics stealing two anyways if they can get some big games from Rondo.

As for the Western Conference Finals. This series will be decided at the point guard position. Its a tough on to pick though. I have been watching both teams dominate their conference since the start of the playoffs and it was hard to choose between the Thunder and Spurs. In the end I went with my heart more than my mind. My mind is telling me to pick the veteran, deep, and dominant San Antonio Spurs, but my heart is telling me pick the passionate, star studded, young, athletic Oklahoma City Thunder. I see Russell Westbrook stepping up to the plate and not only defending Tony Parker, but also blowing by him for multiple 30-point games. The only thing I am completely sure about is this will be a very compelling series full of close games.

My final prediction for this series is Thunder in 6, and this way we will be able to see the finals everybody has been looking forward to from the start of the year, Heat vs. Thunder. Let me know what you think and if you have a different combo going to the finals. Don't forget to vote on the polls and leave a comment to get you opinion heard and responded to. And happy watching, these will definitely be two series you don't want to miss.
