The All NBA teams were announced this afternoon and it I feel the voters really got this one right. You have the MVP and scoring champion teamed up with Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, and Kobe Bryant, who are all arguably the best at their respective positions. Heres a look at the team and thier 2011-2012 stats.
Lebron James 27.1 ppg, 6.2 apg, 7.9 rpg, 30.80 PER
James won his third career MVP this year and was a lock on this years All-NBA First team as he lead the Miami Heat to a 46-20 season and 2-seed in the Eastern conference. No being on Earth should have a problem with this selection, but if you do please share with me why.
Kevin Durrant 28.0 ppg, 3.5 apg, 8.0 rpg, 26.26 PER 47-19

Kevin Durrant won his third straight scoring title this year after a close battle with Kobe Bryant. He also had a very close battle with Lebron for the MVP which he lost gracefully (by 185 points). But all in all Durrantula had a great year as he and Russell Westbrook led the Thunder to a 47-19 record. The scariest part about Durrant's successful year is the fact that he's just getting started. Im can't wait to see what he looks like in the peak of his prime.
Dwight Howard 20.6 ppg, 14.5 rpg, 2.1 bpg, 24.29 PER

Again no surprise here. Dwight Howard was selected as the center to the first team with little to no opposition. Unless you consider Andrew Bynum, Howard has proven to be the most dominant big man this league has to offer. Thats not too high of praise in these days where we have players like Chris Kaman, Roy Hibbert, and Marc Gasol making it the All-star teams. With that being said Superman should continue to dominate the center position for year to come, as long as he comes back from the back injury.
ps. please don't tell Shaq I called Howard superman. I definitely don't need that problem. I could imagine Shaq showing up at my door with that look. It reminds me of this hilarious video I saw the other day on Youtube by
Funarios.
Chris Paul 19.8 ppg, 9.1 apg, 3.6 rpg, 27.09 PER
CP3 had his most successful season since he lost Chandler in his career. Not in term of stats or number, but as for team success and how he revived the Clippers franchise (if we can call it that). He turned a team from laughing stock into contender. With the help of Blake Griffin he even had many analysts picking them to win west. Even though they got swept by the Spurs, they still did pretty well. None of this would have been possible without the leadership and skills of veteran point guard Chris Paul. Sounds weird calling him a vet, it seems like just yesterday he was running up and down the court in New Orleans letting Jason Kidd and everyone else know that he could not be guarded. That still holds true as Paul was the most efficient PG this year.
Kobe Bryant 27.9 ppg, 4.6 apg, 5.4 rpg, 21.95 PER
And last but not least we have the Black Mamba. With the type of year he had in his 16th, yes I said 16th season, he had to be a selection on this list. He carried a Lakers team that was searching for an identity all year, and although sometimes he was what was wrong for this team, way too often he was the cure as the Lakers went 41-25 in this lockout shortened season. Kobe is definitely on a decline, but don't let him know that, and I suspect this is his last year making the first team. With that said, Kobe is still Kobe and you have to respect what he has done and is doing for the game. He is exciting to watch and scary to play against...unless you the Thunder. So congrats Kobe, your still relevant.
So thats the team, hopefully they don't make a decision to join forces anytime soon. But then again that has proven to be ineffective anyways. We'll see what happens. In the mean time comment and let me know what you think. Do you agree with the team? or do you believe they left out anybody. (*clears throat* D.Wade)
